We are currently hiring faculty for the 2016-2017 school year. We are adding a new team of teachers, and are looking for highly qualified faculty in all content areas. Roles in small schools are varied and complex and serious consideration will be given to applicants who demonstrate through their resume and cover letter experience and/or willingness to become involved in these essential aspects:

  • High levels of interdisciplinary collaboration, including collaboration with the Social-Emotional Learning Team.
  • Adapting curriculum and unit planning to include the integration of English literacy and language learning into respective content area instruction
  • Designing and implementing project-based units that help students develop skills and language through inquiry and lead to the presentation of graduation-worthy portfolios comprised of work from each content area
  • Practicing an open door policy and developing best practice pedagogy to facilitate professional growth and collaboration, including participation in class and school inter-visitations
  • Work within a non-traditional school model and organization structure that meets the needs of English Language Learners and students requiring special education services.

Applicants should have demonstrated success working with English Language Learners, experience working in highly collaborative environments, and a commitment to professional growth.

Applicants must be certified to teach in New York City.
